Elite Show Jumping Stars Set for the Longines Global Champions Tour of Mexico City

The renowned Longines Global Champions Tour of Mexico, presented by GNP Mexico Jumping, is set to captivate audiences from  27 - 30 March, marking the second stage of the esteemed 2025 circuit. As the exclusive Latin American host, Mexico welcomes this exhilarating event, with Campo Marte reclaiming its spotlight in the global equestrian arena.

Internationally acclaimed riders are converging in Mexico City, ready to tackle the challenges of the 2,250-meter altitude alongside the world's top horses. Anticipation is high as the stage is set for a riveting display of athleticism and entertainment, promising to thrill the enthusiastic crowds.

This prestigious event will showcase 56 CSI5* riders hailing from 23 countries. The highly anticipated LGCT of Mexico City will welcome an extraordinary line-up of elite equestrians, including reigning LGCT Champion Max Kühner, who makes his much-awaited debut in the 2025 season. The legendary John Whitaker will also take to the arena alongside huge names like Jur Vrieling and Maikel van der Vleuten.

The competition will see the return of Christian Ahlmann who is a strong contender for the top podium spot. Other show jumping superstars confirmed for the event include Eduardo Alvarez Aznar, two time LGCT Champion Edwina Tops-Alexander, Katrin Eckermann, Simon Delestre, Marco Kutscher, Denis Lynch, and Olivier Philippaerts. Notably, Olivier will aim to follow in the footsteps of his brother, Nicola Philippaerts, who claimed victory in last year’s LGCT Grand Prix in Mexico City.

Adding to the excitement, the home crowd will have the chance to cheer for their local heroes, Fernando Martinez Sommer and Carlos Hank Guerreiro. These Mexican talents will bring their skills and determination to the arena, looking to make their mark against the world’s best.
