As the Longines Global Champions Tour of Shanghai draws near, we shine a spotlight on the state of the art venue that will serve as the third stop of the 2024 season. The Shanghai Juss International Equestrian Centre will take center stage May 3-5 as the Longines Global Champions Tour marks its highly anticipated return to China.
Located in the center of Shanghai along the Huangpu River, the Shanghai Juss International Equestrian Centre will see the world’s top show jumping talent converge to compete in the brand new purpose built stadium. This expansive venue covers an area of 34,000 square meters and spans a sprawling 84,600 square meters over five floors. This state of the art venue is located in the city’s EXPO Cultural Park and is China’s first permanent professional equestrian venue.
The Shanghai Juss International Equestrian Centre features some truly incredible amenities. At the center of the venue is an Olympic sized main arena with over 4,000 seats in addition to a media center, live broadcasting center, horse clinic, and more. The venue also features an indoor arena and permanent stables. In addition to competition areas, the Shanghai Juss International Equestrian Centre is home to the International Equestrian Academy, featuring 8,000 square meters for teaching, meeting, and exhibition as well as the International Horse Art Centre. The venue is also home to the International Jockey Club which features fine dining, a library, beauty centre, kids centre, and recreation facilities.
